June 17, 2009 According to the Our View:Gagne allowed five runs on nine hits and four walks over just 4.2 innings and never got up to 90 mph on the gun. Still, Gagne says he's determined to return to the Major Leagues, whether as a starter or reliever. We won't hold our breath. |

May 26, 2009 According to SLAM Sports, the Quebec Capitales of the Independent Can-Am League have signed former MLB reliever Eric Gagne. Our View:Gagne is recovering from a tear in his rotator cuff and looks like he's working out the kinks in Canada. If he can prove he's healthy and effective once again, MLB scouts will undoubtedly come calling. |

March 8, 2009 Eric Gagne has been released by the Brewers, according to the Our View:An MRI recently revealed that Gagne has labrum and rotator cuff damage in his pitching shoulder. He was unable to pitch to convince the Brewers that he belongs in their bullpen. The club could bring him back if he improves enough to pitch down the road. |

March 6, 2009 Brewers assistant GM Gord Ash said Friday it would be "impossible" for Eric Gagne to land a spot on the major-league roster, according to Our View:Gagne has an "out date" option in his minor-league contract with Milwaukee that allows him to elect to enter free agency if he does not make the major-league roster by Mar. 26. |

March 6, 2009 Eric Gagne is considering a surgical procedure to deal with the soreness in his shoulder, according to Our View:This is the same injury that landed him on the DL last season. If Gagne cannot pitch, the Brewers cannot determine if he belongs in their bullpen. |
