Eddie George will help broadcast preseason Titans games this month, but he still hopes to catch on with a team that needs a running back, according to the Tennessean. "There is one stipulation that we agreed to," said John Dwyer, the station's sports director. "Eddie gets to keep his cell phone on in the booth in case a team calls wanting him to come and play."

After trading for Travis Henry, Jeff Fisher indicated that the Titans are no longer interested in signing Eddie George this summer, according to the Nashville Tennessean. "I'm confident Eddie still has it, that he can be productive and play, that he can be the back for somebody. And I am hopeful that he gets the opportunity," Fisher said. "Selfishly I thought maybe it would come here. But the way things look with Travis and Chris (Brown), it appears to be unlikely."

Eddie George had a face-to-face meeting with Titans general manager Floyd Reese on Monday to find out what his chances might be of returning to the team, according to the Tennessean. "It was basically just a meeting between a player and a general manager where they wanted to talk and find out if our perceptions of what we want to do are the same," George's agent, Lamont Smith, said. "It was a good meeting, one that both parties left feeling good about."
