The Texans have promoted Chris Henry off their practice squad, according to Adam Caplan's (Scout.com) twitter page.

Our View:Henry was added to provide depth at running back with Steve Slaton placed on IR. Henry is not expected to see much action as long as Chris Brown and Ryan Moats remain intact.

Our View:The former Titan is unlikely to be added the active roster any time soon.

Our View:The former second-round pick would be more likely to land in Houston, as Washington has five running backs on their 53-man roster.

Our View:Henry was believed to have the physical skills to develop into a solid running back, but failed to impress the Titans as a second-round pick in 2007.

Rookie running back Javon Ringer has looked good in the preseason, and Tom Weir of the USA Today believes Chris Henry could be cut.

Our View:Ringer is battling Henry for the No. 3 role at running back behind Chris Johnson and LenDale White. Ringer has more upside than Henry, who failed to make an impact in his first two years in the NFL.
