Max Starks, T Saturday 9/6, 8:24 AM CT
Max Starks is slated to serve as the Steelers' third tight end in Week 1 against the Texans, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Our View:Starks gets the designation as new tight end Sean McHugh will not play.
Sean McHugh, TE Friday 9/5, 5:49 PM CT
Sean McHugh who is suffering with a bad ankle will not play this week.
Rashard Mendenhall, RB Friday 9/5, 1:19 PM CT
Steelers' offensive coordinator Bruce Arians indicated that Rashard Mendenhall is expected to get 10 to 15 plays in Week 1 against Houston while spelling Willie Parker, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. Arians added, "If Willie gets tired, he'll be in there. No special roles."

Our View:The team remains uncertain who will be the short-yardage/goal-line back. Mendenhall was previously the leading candidate for the job, but fell out of favor due to ball-security issues in the preseason.
