Gilbert Arenas, G, Washington WizardsSunday 6/1, 11:11 PM CT
Gilbert Arenas, who was cleared to begin rehabilitating his surgically repaired left knee over the weekend, told the Washington Post he still plans to opt out of the final year of his contract.

Our View: The Wizards guard would become an unrestricted free agent. But he doesn't plan to file the necessary paperwork with the league any sooner than the June 30 deadline notes the report.
Rodney Stuckey, G, Detroit PistonsSunday 6/1, 12:38 PM CT
President Joe Dumars wants Rodney Stuckey to play 30 minutes a game in 2008-09, and many people believe the point guard can be special. "The sky is the limit for that kid," guard Lindsey Hunter explains to the Detroit Free Press. "Once he gets his feet planted fully, there's not many people who can do what this kid can do. He has such incredible upside. Physically, you look at Deron Williams and those types of guys, and he possesses some things that those guys don't possess." Starting point guard Chauncey Billups confirms, "He's got a chance to be a star... He's got an unbelievable combination of speed and strength. That's hard to come by. And there is nothing that he really can't do. He is going to be an All-Star, for sure."

Our View: When he saw 27 minutes per game in April, Stuckey averaged 14.0 points, 4.2 assists, 3.3 rebounds, and 0.9 steals. He also showed a knack for getting to the line. Billups stands in his way, but it sounds like Dumars is intent on pushing this youngster forward. Fantasy owners should be on board.
Jamario Moon, F, Toronto RaptorsSunday 6/1, 12:28 PM CT
Swingmen Brandon Rush, Bill Walker, and Chris Douglas-Roberts are among the prospects slated to work out for the Raptors prior to the draft, the Toronto Sun reports. The Raptors hold the No. 17 pick.

Our View: The Raptors have a lot of roster work to do this offseason. The interest in swingmen may just be due diligence, but it may also suggest they aren't happy with their current crop of shooting guards and small forwards.
Tiago Splitter, F, San Antonio SpursSunday 6/1, 7:23 AM CT
The San Antonio Express-News confirms that forward Tiago Splitter has agreed to sign a two-year deal with Tau Ceramica and stay in Spain. Splitter could make no more than $970,000 if he joined the Spurs, but his deal with Tau Cermica may be worth eight times that amount.

Our View: The Spurs need to get younger, and they were hoping this 2006 first-round pick would come to the States this summer. The 6-11 big man is projected to be a good complement to Tim Duncan, but it sounds like we won't find out if that tandem would have worked well together.
Bostjan Nachbar, F, Sunday 6/1, 7:15 AM CT
Bostjan Nachbar is feeling better after battling a back injury late in the 2007-08 season. "The back is doing well. I'm running, doing some light lifting with weights and shooting," the forward informs the New York Post. Nachbar will become a free agent this summer. He has decided not to play for Slovenia in the qualifying tournament, but he would reconsider if his native country makes the Olympics.

Our View: We don't envision Nachbar having much fantasy value in 2008-09, no matter where he lands. The best-case scenario might be the Knicks. Nachbar would reunite with Mike D'Antoni, and his numbers might rise in the open offense.
