Chris Osgood, G, Detroit Red WingsWednesday 6/4, 9:49 PM CT
The Detroit Red Wings have won their fourth Stanley Cup in 11 seasons. Red Wings goaltender Chris Osgood fought off a late charge by the Pittsburgh Penguins in a 3-2 victory. It's the 11th Stanley Cup in franchise history for the Red Wings.

Our View: The winner of the Conn Smythe Trophy, Henrik Zetterberg, scored a third-period goal that stood as the winner.
Patrick Eaves, RW, Carolina HurricanesWednesday 6/4, 11:05 AM CT
Patrick Eaves has inked a three-year deal to remain with the Hurricanes, according to the AP. The deal is worth $1.4 million per year.

Our View: The 24-year-old former first-round pick could have become a restricted free agent July 1, meaning the Hurricanes could have matched any offer he received from another team. The winger scored five goals and 10 assists over 37 games in 2007-08.
Vincent Lecavalier, C, Tampa Bay LightningWednesday 6/4, 8:35 AM CT
Vincent Lecavalier is eager to work out a long-term deal to remain with the Lightning, according to the Tampa Tribune. He said, "I'm looking forward to the new owners. They have a passion for the game. Oren Koules and Len Barrie have played the game. I'm encouraged about the new owners, and I'm excited about things."

Our View: He scored 40 goals and 52 assists over 81 games in 2007-08, and his surgically repaired shoulder is healing on schedule.
Sergei Gonchar, D, Pittsburgh PenguinsWednesday 6/4, 8:30 AM CT
Sergei Gonchar is expected to play in Game 6, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Gonchar has been suffering from back spasms, but Coach Michel Therrien is optimistic Gonchar will suit up for action tonight.

Our View: Gonchar scored 65 points over 78 games in the regular season, and it will be hard to keep him off the ice for critical Game 6, as Pittsburgh trails Detroit 3-2 in the series.
Alex Goligoski, D, Pittsburgh PenguinsWednesday 6/4, 8:11 AM CT
Defenseman Alex Goligoski has been returned to the minors, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Our View: He will return to Wilkes-Barre of the AHL. He was only brought in for depth while Kris Letang was away from the team to attend a funeral.
